About Alchemy

Alchemy is a husband and wife duo consisting of Sarah Greenham Taylor and Max Taylor.

Max Taylor hails from London. He qualified as a science teacher, but spent most of his time following his passion, teaching guitar in various schools around London and doing up to 30 gigs a month. He moved to Ireland in 2001 and continued what he loves best, playing and teaching guitar.

Sarah Greenham Taylor is a singer, songwriter, performer and music teacher. Born in Cork city, she moved to Skibbereen in the beautiful West Cork when she was 10 years old. Classically trained in piano, she studied music in University College Cork and then went on to complete a Masters in Community Music from the University of Limerick.

Since graduating she has directed church music groups and facilitated music workshops around the country as well as teaching piano, guitar and singing.

In 2003 Sarah and Max met and together formed Alchemy, combining their different styles and influences to incorporate Jazz, Rock, Classical, Blues and Traditional with guitar, bass, mandolin, piano, keyboards and vocals.

In 2014 Sarah and Max released their first commercial album of Sarah’s original songs.
